Have you tried using FindMy by logging in to you Apple account on another device? Your iPad has likely been switched off, but if not FindMy should give you a last location before it was. It works using a crow-sourced network using WiFi and Bluetooth, so even if your iPad is asleep or any SIM card removed it will still be locatable until it’s switched off completely. It will also relocate it when it is switched back on.
You should also make sure to report it to Apple, as if you have a reasonable password lock and it’s blacklisted it may well end up being sent in to Apple for reactivation by whoever ends up buying a “bargain” used iPad.
