| Why should people be helped any more than they currently are. In London there are usually viable public transport alternatives, maybe not as convenient, but they will get you there. If there is not a viable alternative then of course there is still a place for the car. My mother, who has never driven, lives in a small town in Devon. There is one bus an hour on her route. She knows this and plans around it. We are incredibly lucky in london that a 10 minute wait for a bus is often considered a long time. |
