Yes and they should wear helmets too! Actually a registration number is to be included on the jackets the dogs have to wear. I am not sure however that fixed ANPR cameras would be adequate given that dogs don't stick to a fixed location. Perhaps drone technology could be employed to ensure proper enforcement. Also has the issue of owners lending these jackets to other owners been considered? Some dog facial recognition technology would be needed to ensure this didn't happen. |
