| Thanks. I understand that not all the trees there are being done and that has raised questions. Some want all the trees pruned/pollarded. Great to imagine the scene you describe! Great Marlborough Estates, which owns Empire House, outlined the development's progress when two directors spoke at last night's Chiswick Area Forum. Great Marlborough Estates bought the building, and two plots of land nearby, with planning permission already granted to previous owners Lendlease and have not sought to change that permission. As for whether they are incomers, one of the directors of Great Marlborough Estates is Grant Lipton, son of Sir Stuart Lipton whose business Stanhope built the Chiswick Business Park. Sir Stuart is involved with Great Marlborough Estates, too. And Stanhope recently bought back Building 7. Stanhope has a very strong sense of community and so does Great Marlborough Estates. The first presentation is from Wayne Bellamy of Chiswick RNLI; next is Great Marlborough Estates; then it's the West Chiswick and Gunnersbury Society. After that it's the public forum with an update on IRIS (Identify and Report Irrelevant Signage) followed by two retailers speaking about what is needed to recover from the pandemic and, finally, a brief discussion about a motion on Streetspace schemes.
