Shaun Edwards has Irish grandparents and has represented Ireland at rugby league so probably qualifies for an Irish passport which no doubt he will be applying for to regularise his employment status in France (although after the weekend the French will probably be inclined to give him full citizenship). Ireland are probably equally as guilty as England as missing out on a major talent although I'm sure Andy Farrell will have tried.

The point made by Francis was more of sly dig than a tirade but there is an important truth in what he says. Already UK based jobs are being advertised for EU citizens only. For rugby it would seem unlikely that Brexit would have any serious impact on the professional game as top players and coaches should get visas. The real impact will be at youth level where younger players won't be able to get experience with French and Italian teams and touring will become a lot more difficult.
