| It is hard to argue with your last sentence but I do think this case is very unfair on Rupa Huq. The complainants seem to have sent their 'dossier' to the Times as well as the party authorities. This has made it very difficult for Rupa Huq to defend herself. Sources seem to have briefed the Times on her behalf but that is not the same as being able to put out a full rebuttal. She is likely to fail victim to the snail's pace at which the Labour Party carry out these investigations so won't really have a chance to clear her name for quite some time. However, all the anti-Semites in the Labour party are very mealy-mouthed when it comes to expressing their views on Palestine and Israel. Rupa Huq has always been very honest and forthright and holds views that clearly indicate she hasn't taken sides in this conflict. |
