The Emery Walker Trust is seeking a part-time administrator to support an experienced curatorial team at 7 Hammersmith Terrace.

A proven administrative ability is essential and this should include computing skills and an understanding of social media. A sympathetic understanding of historic house management would be an advantage.

The post involves the day-to-day administration of the activities in the house and the overall care of a listed building including the management of a cleaner. These duties will involve organising the volunteer rota, maintaining the bookings website, organising group visits and managing the Friends’ subscriptions. The post holder will maintain the small sales outlet and arrange postage of online orders.

The House Manager will also liaise with outside organizations and support the curatorial staff in educational activities and other matters that may arise from time to time.
