Very confused, can anyone explain for me? Went to Townmead this afternoon with a car load of wood from a rotten shed. Showed my identification to the 'gate keeper' as I have been doing for the past few months and was told that a charge would be applied as I live in W4 and the minimum was £41.00. I questioned this as I was under the impression that Richmond & Hounslow and another West London Borough had a reciprocal agreement on recycle/reuse. I was told by the gate keeper that Townmead would accept green waste FOC from any resident but anything else from a resident of another Borough would be charged. Played the sympathy card and he 'allowed' me to empty the car. What is going on? Is there anything in print from Richmond/Hounslow et al to clearly state what the policy is. If there is it would be useful to show this document the next time I go to Townmead. Can any Councillor provide a detailed response please? |
