Angie BrayMP and Mary MacleodMP along with local prospective Conservative council candidates for Ealing 2014, Patrick Barr and Janet Young, have campaigned to bring about a consultation for the Piccadilly line to stop at Turnham Green. This resulted in handing the petition to Mayor of London, Boris Johnson late last year. Mary MacleodMP has contacted the Mayors office who confirm there is no change. She states " Boris announced at City Hall last month that it would definitely go ahead when the Piccadilly line is upgraded. This will likely be in 2020 but will confirm very soon." Mary goes on to say "I am pushing in the meantime for it to stop more during off-peak hours." The contract news will not effect our hard work. So Boris hasn't gone back on his word. He only ever promised a consultation! He has delivered that and more. More than Ken Livingstone ever did. There is nothing to speculate over.
