Why is it so difficult for our local police to pick these fellows up?  When I ring the non-emergency number to report incidents like this it takes, not kidding, 45 minutes for someone from the local station to call me back.  It would be so incredibly easy for a squad car to swing past and collect these fellows (many of them work in pairs) when they're wandering door to door in our streets but there seems to be no way to get through to the local station so they can radio it out in real time!  I suspect they are checking our front doors (how easy is this one to kick in, etc) and to see if we are home at whatever o'clock in the evening.  I really wish the police would pick them up!!!
