Just had a chap ring the doorbell at 8.20pm on a Bank Holiday Monday evening selling tea towels, my wife answered the door and politely said "no thank you!" at which he kicked the front door and spat on our front window. Last weekend I answered the door to a chap who was also aggressive and seemed intent on getting into an argument because I said no thanks, although perhaps because I am a bloke he hesitated to kick the door or spit on the window. Door to door sellers are very rare around here (Hadley Gardens) so why this sudden increase, two in a week?
