Anyone else remember the great and enormous Rolling Thunder, which was briefly in the magnificent Victorian Brentford Market building, before the Tories destroyed it in the 80s to build ugly Tie Rack, Leisure Centre, and other warehouse buildings? It had every kind of ramp and pipe! Winstan Whitter has made an excellent film called Rollin' Through the Decades about British Skateboarding from the 70s onward, it has some great late 70s-early 80s footage of Chiswick skateboarder gang The Bratz. I still love watching skateboarding. My daughter broke her foot skating. |
