My firm allows first class travel but interestingly possibly as a result of the credit crunch, many now choose voluntarily to travel second class. With the ability to pre book seats when you order on line, you get confirmation of a place to sit and work at (most inter city now have access to power points in all classes for your computer if needed) and usually cheaper tickets when pre-booked subject to what time you are travelling.

Sadly it seems many MPs are still living in a dream world where sadly they think they are worth it!
