"Water is considered so reliable now that you no longer need storage" - as safe as a bank

I foresee water shortages in the next 15-30 years, so even if there are none now, selling a house without a cold water tank may get tricky in 20 years time, especially if the space has been used for other purposes. But then perhaps I am by nature a pessimist.
