http://www.hounslow.gov.uk/index/environment_and_planning/recycling/household_recycling/recycling_sites.htm I can't seem to download the PDF this evening. It is a map of the whole borough with the locations of the banks and types of banks. Sainsbury's manage their own recycling banks so their banks may not be fully listed on it anyway. The Chiswick Recycling Action Group has a useful directory which includes the telephone numbers and addresses of charity shops. www.crag-online.org.uk LBE's Reuse & Recycling Centre in Stirling Road (just off Bollo Lane and close to Sainsbury's) takes textiles. Opens at 8am but closes at 5pm in summer.(Don't leave it to the last minute they sometimes close early.) You can put clothing in your green box. Generally you are asked to put clothing in a carrier bag to keep it dry wherever you put it. Even holey socks can be recycled - everything though should be clean. I've just found the table on the CRAG site (which still needs updating re plastics at Sainsbury's and liquid food & drinks cartons) and this lists the Police Station in Chiswick High Road. |
