The refurbishment of Chiswick Park station is actually being undertaken (at some time in the future!), by Metronet, not TfL. See as follows from Metronet: Chiswick Park Station refurbishment The works Chiswick Park is undergoing a station refurbishment, which is due for completion in spring 2007. (Don't hold your breath!) The work will improve the existing station facilities, providing a safer, more pleasant environment for passengers. Planned improvements to your station include: • the refurbishment of the station's front façade, external forecourt, ticket hall and platform seating • platform canopy and platform surfaces will be repaired, tactile paving installed to assist the visually impaired • a new security surveillance system • customer help points • a new Communications Equipment Room will be installed Impact Whilst some of the work is conducted during the day (Monday to Friday, 08.00 to 17.30), most work will be conducted at night (approximately 22.00 to 05.00, Sunday to Friday). Potentially noisy operations will be phased to alleviate any noise nuisance. We have consulted London Borough of Ealing regarding our construction practices, and will use the best practicable methods to minimise both the duration and extent of any potential disturbances to local residents and London Underground customers. |
