Does anyone happen to know how such glorious projects on the London Underground are funded? Metronet is responsible for upkeep of the District Line, but what sort of terms would be written into their contract? For instance, are they paid by the hour, or would they get a fixed sum to complete the upgrade of Chiswick Park station no matter how long it takes them?
