Another pat on the back for our local police for rounding up a group lot of hardcore offenders. However, I wonder how many of those set to prison had not been there not long before - I know one had been.
I'm not having a dig at the government's early release scheme here - I can understand why it is necessary and non-violent offenders like these are exactly the kind that have to be let go. The point is that it must be really frustrating for local police to have to keep arresting the same people and for shop owners to see them reappearing. |
