I'm in favour of this going ahead as it will help cement Brentford at the top level of football.
However, some consideration should be given to the flood of extra capacity at stadiums across London. Spurs now have permission to host 30 concerts a year and hosted 19 last year including Beyonce and Lady Gaga. The London Stadium currently has a licence for 10 and wants more and is looking at holding them during the football season. Wembley has also been given more leeway to host music events and could put on 54 in a year. Twickenham wants to raise the number from three to 15.
These are top tier venues which Brentford won't necessarily be competing with directly but Fulham also are looking to hold six concerts a year. Unless there is a surge in acts wanting to tour, it looks like the revenues that hosts get is going to drop.
