While I might have raised an eyebrow at the green light being given to the Olive's House family club on Bath Road without a vote on it by councillors, I do think it is overall a good thing. However, I think some more planning needs to be done on parking and traffic management. I don't want to get into the 'SUV driving school-run mum' bashing which tends to often poorly masks misogyny but given the likely membership fees at this club and the fact that, by definition people joining will have kids, the cars using it will tend to be big. With the ArtsEd in the immediate vicinity, the area is going to get messy. The article highlights that these issue were raised during the consultation process but gave no clue as to what the proposal was to resolve them.
