| Drying wet washing and the space to do so often seems to be a problem in this country. It can cause condensation which causes mould unless done carefully and can use a lot of energy when it is done using electricity. In Hong Kong I remember horizontal ship's mast type poles stretching out from buildings across streets with laundry hanging and flapping. In this country I remember hanging laundry out in some flats is forbidden although many people seem to manage to put low clothes horses out on balconies to dry their laundry. I was interested to read that in Sweden there are communal laundries: https://theconversation.com/how-swedens-communal-laundries-shield-renters-from-rising-energy-bills-279415 Has anybody any experience of using these? |
