| Kathleen, as a child Of an Irish mother and born in the same hospital as the great George Best I know all about the antipathy held by some towards the Irish. I have always enjoyed the company of the Irish, wherever I have been and find them great company. This, despite my hatred of the IRA and the devastation they caused in Northern Ireland and mainland England. I have similar mixed feelings towards Muslimism. Obviously I despise the miniscule band of radicals who create death and suffering, but admire the overwhelming Muslim proportion who serve our country so well, both professionally and personally. In the past six months I have received great treatment from my dentist, optometrist, phlebotomist, had amusing conversations with my occasional cabbie, and enjoy immensely the thoughts spoken by my favourite politicians- all Muslims but sadly not the London mayor. I thought my post might cause a stir but I am more than comfortable where I stand. |
