And I expect that they may have managed to then earn and save enough money to be able to put a deposit on a home here as a result. You can't just live on air. Necessity not Greed.  That doesn't mean that the UK couldn't and shouldn't tighten up on all the regulations re tax havens and those who not just evade tax but avoid it because they can afford expensive wealth advisors etc that the less wealthy and poor can't. Making it easier and cheaper for those overworked and on the gig economy to be able to get a secure home and financial advice might even be beneficial in helping them to progress onto finding a healthier more secure longterm income.
