You can also get purpose built swinging arms that dangle your charging cable out over the pavement to reach your car. No trip hazard, but they also need permission from the council. Meanwhile, charging remains a problem for blocks of flat, unless festoons of extension cables are allowed to dangle out of the windows or over the balconies! And in a block of garages there might be a 40w light socket but not enough power to safely support a 3kW car being plugged in. |
