| It’s not about a YouGov poll asking a few citizens if they’d mind paying more taxes. Of course they would say no. This is after all a country which was shortsighted enough to vote for Brexit. This is about a government which doesn’t stop whinging about a black hole but is too terrified to start taxing the wealthy. It’s totally ridiculous. Whinge, whinge, whinge but no action. They won’t tax the rich, they won’t stop paying the majority of pensioners the WFP and they won’t stop benefits payments to millions of people who are perfectly capable of working. They won’t stop illegal immigration and they won’t stop paying £billions to unscrupulous hotel owners to house asylum seekers. They won’t do much for the good of the country will they! |
