| Lowering the voting age will bring England in line with Scotland and Wales. For so many people politics is a once every couple of years exercise in total disinterest for the main part. The more people understand and get involved the better, experience and age can be useful, but we need people from all backgrounds bringing new ideas forward. If it gets people off their backsides to vote and having a better understanding of the backgrounds and various processes of politics, and the differing policies of the political parties that can only be to the good of the country. |
