| Anyone who follows events at City Hall will know that Khan cannot give a straight answer to a difficult question, whether it’s grooming gangs, house building targets or knife crime. Anything he perceives as an attack on his credibility immediately puts him on the defensive and he gets stroppy and abusive. He’s not above branding opponents as nutters and right wing loonies if it suits him. The best thing the next Mayor of London could do is call for the office to be scrapped. There’s very little accountability now, with the Assembly bypassed or just ignored. |
