| Hi Anne, thank you for asking. Any knitting yarn of any quality or ply/thickness is welcome. Also buttons, braids/trimmings/ribbons, Bobbles and beads etc. These are sewn onto the knitted muff, on the inside and outside for the patient to twiddle with. Several buttons sewn on close together form a pattern and texture along with maybe some ribbon and tassels. These twiddle muffs are works of art in themselves and are very soothing to the patients.
