W4.com has a story today about the sale of The Crown. It manages to miss the most important part - that this building was once the site of Chiswick Police Station. When the station was sold, the cells inside were retained. I haven't been to The Crown since the 2017 refurbishment and maybe the cells went then. Or maybe they are still in place? Now, of course, there is no police station in Chiswick... |
