Our plan to paralyse traffic in and around Chiswick goes from strength to strength. Turnham Green Terrace, the High Road and Sutton Court Road are stationary most weekday evenings, while our prolonged works on the cycle lane have ensured that it is unusable. Traffic light phasings also contribute. The vital role of buses cannot be underestimated, with their lengthy stops, causing further build up behind them, and the helpful trapping of passengers. Regrettably, Chiswick Lane is sometimes relatively free-flowing, but we are developing our approach. Meanwhile, the trains can't pass Barnes Bridge, though unfortunately, the Tube is working except on strike days. How can we clamp down on pedestrians though? They still seem to be able to get everywhere. All suggestions appreciated. Chis-Choke command, over and out. |
