Two days ago I received a letter from Euro Car Parks demanding a payment of £70 (£40 if paid within 2 weeks). They claimed that I had left my car parked in Sainsbury's car park, Lower Richmond Road branch, for 24 hours on the 5th and 6th of November. They included two photographs of my registration plate showing the dates and times. I did not, of course, abandon my car in Sainsbury's between these times, though I probably visited the store on these two occasions, entering by the main entrance and leaving by the Manor Road exit to head for Richmond Park, then reversing this procedure the following day. I have no proof of this but my word, and I wondered if anyone else had experienced a similar situation at this branch of Sainsbury's in the past. My suspicion is that there is a fault in their surveillance cameras, and I would be grateful to know whether anybody else has had a similar experience. |
