Since when has the content of a work of art proved anything about the beliefs of the producers, performers or audience? A thought. Switzerland and the Swiss have the unfair image of being rather boring. If I were a choreographer commissioned to create a ceremony for the opening of a tunnel with an audience of international (mostly Christian) dignitaries I would want to undermine that prejudice. What better way than to provide a performance that includes noise, nudity, sex, violence, satanism, electronic music - and a bit of Swiss mythology in the mix? And if it gets the QAnon twerps all excited, so much the better. |
