I don’t understand why a building being listed overrides the fact that on occasion the go past its useful life. You can keep patching it up but for what purpose? Take it down and design an almost identical replica but make it wider and higher. Make it fit for another 100 years plus not just the next 50. Would we be less culturally rich because of it?
