Very very many thanks to the Devonshire Road traders for a wonderful street fair today. I ran a stall for Hounslow Animal Welfare Society and we raised £150 for the charity!! A wonderful result for us as an independent West London animal rescue charity. In addition to items on the stall, I focussed on highlighting the benefit to us of our foster carers and what the benefits are for our fostering volunteers. I am hoping that we have at least two seriously interested parties and a couple of people discussed adoption with me too. Huge thanks to Allen and all at Chiswick Pets for inviting us and the other animal charities and for the excellent organisation and management by all involved. A wonderful day, atmosphere, music, food, stalls and support from the shops — the weather was brilliant and a lot of people seemed to be having a great time! |
