| Rima's quite right - there was a concerted campaign of spreading "fake news" via WhatsApp, mostly to discredit the Workers Party. For example the false reports of Fernando Haddad's distribution of a "gay kit" to schools were designed to increase evangelical support for Bolsonaro. I have to say Brazilian evangelicals don't come well out of all this. One has the impression that if the devil were to call himself "Cristao" (the evangelicals have appropriated this name to themselves, as if they were the only true Christians) he would be readily embraced by them. |
