We used Aussie Man to move contents of a storage unit down to Devon last week, without a hitch. Good value, but not an Aussie in sight! The remainder of our goods for Devon had been in storage in Stroud since January. We booked the transfer here weeks ago, but on Thursday, the day before they were due, we got a phone call to say they would be a day late - forklift problems! The van would come, we were assured, at 7am. To be here on time, we got up at 5 30, checked out of our hotel before breakfast and raced here. We had tried to contact the removal people the night before to check the time, but the was no reply to emails or from mobiles. At 10 am we rang - they had just left Stroud - but not all our goods had made it to the van. No explaination. The van arrived in the afternoon with very pleasant and apologetic men - but clearly not their fault. They said they were going back to pick up the rest of the stuff. After they left, we had a call to say the rest would be here on Tuesday - this included quite useful stuff, like our mattress and table. Words were had, and they agreed to deliver today. Still half the stuff is missing - still no table. No word yet on when we might see anything else. How cross would you be and what would you do?
