As Ben and Bernard have said (and Richard) .....the Hudson Building was located where B&Q is now. It had burgundy/maroon coloured brickwork
And was wedged between the GWR and Gunnersbury Avenue. Jock's Box Transport Cafe was it's neighbour and further away the National Provincial (later Nat West) Bank fronting the busy Chiswick Roundabout.

There used to be a Chrysler Car Assembly Plant on the Kew side of the Thames (where the Retail Park now is) and the vacated  workshops were later taken over by firms like GKN Stenors..the wheelweights people.

James Marshall's fabulous book on the Great West Road is a font of information and he presides over both the Hounslow and Chiswick Reference Libraries.  Mention of Firestones Rubber Factory and Packards Car Assembly Plant are all in his book. Great read!
