Gail - I second getting a motion activated porch light. Also the weakest parts of the door are 1/3 up, and 1/3 down, 2 sturdy bolts will solve that. Also a real or dummy camera (within lit up area of porch light). Also - on Freecycle, or from a charity shop, a large size old pair of men's wellies / old boots to leave on the doorstep, if you live alone. Ask the neighbours to add to your recycling box, if visible from the pavement, while you're away. Very best wishes, it sounds scary, good luck. |
