The scheme, on open land around Bedfont Lakes Country Park, is being developed by Hounslow council in conjunction with bosses at Heathrow........
The idea of a Heathrow Garden City was first announced at an aviation conference last summer by Heathrow chief executive John Holland-Kaye, who said a third runway could be the catalyst for regeneration around the airport.
Detailed proposals have just been published by the council as part of its West of Borough Plan- blueprint for the future use of land encompassing Feltham, Hanworth and Heston, among other areas.
They mention new homes and new hotels, offices and industrial buildings on the airports doorstep.
In a joint introduction, Mr. Holland-Kaye and Steve Curran wrote : " Together we can make places that people want to live in and where businesses want to invest.
The latest consultation on the councils West of Borough Plan includes a review of land designated as metropolitan green belt.
Public consultation will run until February 22 at 5pm.
