| I'm not sure there is a going rate these days, it seems vry variable. Recommendation is the way to go and the day rate seems to be a newish thing, my husband has always given a price for the job, so that if he goes off to buy materials etc you are not paying for that time, or clock watching to see when he arrives, long he takes for lunch and what time he clocks off. |
