You're probably the only one who's noticed the sandwich bar but there's been quite a little twitter storm (and media interest) in the Lucozade story and it's pretty obvious why. It's a bit of our local quirky heritage, not a huge issue in itself but providing a bit of pleasure and a sense of place. The nearest equivalent I can think of is the cows on top of what used to be Job's Dairy in Feltham There was a petition there and the cows apparently either have been or will be restored (haven't passed it recently. No less than 8014 people signed the petition. As I said on the TW8 thread I'm not exactly sure what the inspector meant or whether it's enforceable (as Adam doubts) but I don't feel like giving up without a fight. The planners are aware and following up, though nobody would support a large nugatory legal bill. Thanks to whomever uncovered Hounslow's spend with JCD, another factor worth pursuing. |
