It's such a cruel disease. Last night a friend and I were on the Askew Road and a little old lady came up to us saying she couldn't get home and didn't know why she was there. She remembered her address. We drove her back and once there, she confirmed that was indeed her address but thought that it was where she lived as a child. We called the number by the communal door and a man from the council came to let her in as she'd left her keys inside.
I do worry about people with dementia as they must be so confused most of the time. Terribly sad.
