I'm with Vanessa on this. One minute we're expected to extend our working lives - and many already work way longer than parents anyway. The next we are being categorized as elderly without seeming to have become retirees or pensioners. And as for the cringe-making: "People are living way longer than they used to" with the addition of "and that's a good thing" and/or "and there's nothing wrong with that"........ Surely it is time for some new categories. What about wrinklies, crinklies and crumblies? How old are they? How old is aged? |
