Has the machine been moved ? Even if it's just been pulled out and pushed back again ? It sounds to me like the machine is off balance.Even moreso when you say that on a slower speed it's ok.If the bearings are gone, they're gone.They don't just go at high speed.Do you have a door wedge ?( Rubber, not wood) If you don't have one, Jims stall outside Sainsburys sell a pack of ten for £1.Set you machine to spin at high revs.When the knocking starts, force the wedges under the front of the machine at the corners.If the knocking stops, it's not the bearings,the machine is out of balance.Try this first.It could save you a fortune, and a lot of grief. |
