Thornhill P&R saves on driving any further into Oxford, and is not too bad for getting to High Street area, but buses through Headington into centre tend to be quite slow. For getting to the Banbury Road side of Oxford I used to prefer going round the ring road to the Water Eaton P&R, but at the moment there are delays from road works on the ring road. If you want just a quick visit, there is on street parking just north of the University Parks, for example at Norham Gardens, which is about ten minutes walk from the centre. Cost is £4 for 3 hours I think, although charge period goes on to 7pm or later.
