Its a small rubber backed mat which sits, on carpet, just outside of the kitchen door - my 90+ year old mother-in-law insists on one being there - but as it gets pretty heavy wear it has to be repositioned umpteen times a day. Someone suggested and has tried double sided carpet tape which has stuck firmly to the carpet but all that's done is make the back of the mat gooey sticky although insufficiently to stop it travelling in whichever direction it sees fit. I've thought of velcroe - the sticky backed version of the stuff but before I experiment (possibly staple gunned to the floor the other maybe stitched or stapled to the mat)I wondered if anyone has a tried and tested trick? Many thanks in advance. |
