Now that it is easier to lose access to your account because the counter staff don't know what they (or Head Office) is doing or maybe they just need lessons in corporate teamwork; it is harder to open a bank account as you need so much ID; and we have learnt the hard way that there is no such thing as "as safe as a bank" (they were 50 years ago moving dormant accounts out of the branches to safeguard them from in-house fraud); and there is masses of online fraud: here comes another pressure. |
