Reading all the comments, makes me realise that for someone new posting on this Forum is like falling into a bear trap. Rahman may not have been wise in saying his recycling bin was filled with champagne bottles and this led to some very sarcastic remarks, but it turns out that this luxury party was an office do. I, myself, have been to a couple recently where small firms hold a party in the private house of an office member, this keeps the costs well down making the likes of champers affordable as does hiring in a private chef for the evening. So be a bit more charitable please. Secondly, the main point of the thread is that the bins are going to be too small for bi weekly collections. As I posted earlier, elderly neighbours fill theirs each week and as I would class it as clinical waste combined with normal domestic waste, it really should not be left for 2 weeks. It did not occur to me these bins were the forerunner of fortnightly collections but the young man I spoke to gave me his card so I shall be calling him in the New Year to see what can be done. |
