| Very few of these flats could reasonably be described as luxury despite what the agents claim. They will probably sell for around or below the average price of a property in London and the plans released of the ones to be developed so far show quite small room sizes. Given the locations, they are unlikely to be the first choice of a place to live of the people who end up there. As for who buys them there is a bit of confusion about the origination. Russian and Saudi buyers remain largely confined to central London areas. The 'Asian' buyers are not predominantly Chinese but Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia residents who invest in London property as part of their pension pot. As far as I am aware they wouldn't be interested in property this far west. |
