One old theory is that the first bus picks up all those waiting at the bus stop and the second bus therefore needs to stop for less time at each stop since most of the passengers are already on the first bus. Also because the first bus has more passengers on board the first bus it has to stop for longer when they disembark. However this does not explain the bunching of the third and fourth and the fifth and sixth bus. |
